What I need is a plan on how to build/construct a metal double deck beds, where can I get it? I need to know how are the joints of metal beds are fastened (either by welding them or by using screws & bolts). A plan would be useful to use as guide in constructing a metal double deck bed for my student boarders. Thanks

I've decided to build perpendicular bunk beds, with a trundle underneath (making three beds). I am adding all sorts of stuff to it (slide, stairs with drawers, desk, and a swing). I want to use 4×4's for the posts, but am having trouble figuring out how to properly fasten them to the rest of the bed properly. Any suggestions?

I would suggest the Rockler bed rail brackets 32077 to attach the bed rails to the 4×4… I would also consider using Bed Bolts from Rockler 99277, they are steel and 6" long. I don't know how permanent the structure would be in place, but using carriage bolts or lag screws is an option. so much depends upon his design. Rockler has alot of unique and structurally sound hardware and their catalog is free at Rockler.com.

I am looking for a free loft bunk bed plans, with a work area under the bed. Also would like stairs instead of a latter. I am looking for a nice bunkbed plan that includes headboard bookshelves and can take a foam mattress. I was thinking about just attaching plywood inside, but want it to be very sturdy and cheap as I have to build, prime and paint four sets for the foster home I started. All help is greatly appreciated.

Hi! We currently have four grandchildren (two girls and two boys) ranging in age from one month to six years and are looking to utilize the lagest bedroom to acommodate them all when they stay! Christmas is coming soon and we are contemplating a room "make over" for Christma gifts!!! We're thinking double bunks with storage components may be the best way to go.
